As part of our search to find out who were Robert Smith’s parents in 2019 in we visited Denmark, with a focus on Aarhus and Knebel areas . This was not our first visit to Denmark and Aarhus as we had been there in 1997, however we were much more aware of Robert’s story so had a plan to try and make the visit worthwhile.

In our planning, we contacted local newspapers and media sources using information from abyznewslinks.com. We hoped that someone might take on our story as a local interest article, but sadly there was much more important news at the time.

We booked our accommodation close to the city centre to visit the City Hall to see if any information was held there. Luckily, Charlotte agreed to meet us in the city and took us to our common ancestral home near Knebel.
