Who was Carl Christian Andreas Tronier 1835-1916?
My grandmother Gwendoline was very proud of her Danish grandfather, Carl Christian Andreas Tronier and her Danish family history. Often the word “royal’ was dropped into conversations.
A few years ago, my Uncle Robert, her son, gave me a copy of a large record of the family tree. This was created by lawyers tracing descendants of this Danish family right back many centuries and down to my Grandmother’s generation.
I look forward to sharing about our Tronier and Haaber families to mention a few. Not only do we have our own records, but Charlotte has also located further documents in Danish archives for us. This genealogical story will take us to the moon and back, and we will even discover streets in Copenhagen named after family members and a connection to modern technology.
One of my grandchildren was impressed that some of these family members even have Wikipedia pages. A measure of the significant part they played in Danish history. I hope you will enjoy this interesting journey which may even include Marsk Stig ( Stig Andersen Hvide) d:1330 down the track.
This is just the beginning of our journey to discover who our 2 times great grandfather Carl Tronier was.
