We are two individuals who met through searching for branches of our family trees and connected through a DNA match. I am from Australia. and Charlotte is from Denmark. Firstly through emails, we discovered that members of Charlotte’s family had come from an area of Denmark that my ancestors probably came from also and, there was some commonality in surnames.

With DNA matches and triangulation with several of my cousins, we decided that investigating further was very worthwhile. In 2019 we met in Aarhus and Charlotte took us to the areas on the other side of Aarhus Bay that could be where our connection is.

We continue individually and together to try and find who is our common ancestor. We hope one day we can know for sure we are related because we feel it already. Welcome to our site.

Purpose of our Blog

Our blog is only for family research and to document the information we have collected or do collect in the future.

By doing it in the form of a blog we are putting it all in one place so that family members and other parties may develop an interest in this family story too.

Over the past few years many others have helped me to get to this point and our blog is a way of us paying it forward if something we publish can help others to further their research.

We are not selling anything on this site or are we collecting statistical information.
